I’ve decided to actually pursue my blogging software project that’s been rattling around in my head for quite a while now. I have a few good ideas that will hopefully let the software stand out. In the meantime, I need to brush up on my web programming skills and keep my code efficient and easy to read.
Right now I’m re-learning best practices for responsive web design. (If you find yourself curious, there’s a really great, simplified tutorial on W3Schools.) I’ve never built a site from the ground up with this in mind, so hopefully I can actually implement it well. As a test, I’ve swapped the home page on ClubCrayon.com with something that I slapped together after reading through that tutorial. I’m hoping I can use that menu system in the future, as it’s pretty simple yet fully functional.
Sorry in advance for my poor writing skills that will inevitably show as I publish more posts. (I doubt you’ll continue to read this blog though, so I guess no apologies are necessary.)
